Thompson, now retired from the State of Illinois, has over 30 years experience working at the Illinois Department of Children & Family Services in rate setting, contracting, auditing, and budgeting. He provided a leadership role in the DCFS implementation of GATA (Grant Accountability and Transparency Act).
